Trout Unlimited will help to launch and collect the boats.
Boats will set sail from the railroad bridge and be collected just upstream of the suspension bridge.
Purchase a boat kit & decorate for a cruise down Spring Creek during the Bellefonte Victorian Christmas weekend!
Update: Due to Spring Creek flow and depth concerns the event has been moved to the discharge of the Big Spring pumphouse – aka as Big Spring Run – located adjacent to Spring Creek in the annex side of Talleyrand park.
Boat Sales Begin: November 1, 2023.
Bring your cash/check to Art a la Carte at 107 South Allegheny Street during normal business hours to register and receive your kit! No online reservations or phone sales.
Cost: $15.00 in cash or check (payable to Bellefonte Victorian Christmas). Your kit will contain 1 wooden boat, 1 dowel rod mast, 2 eyelets and 1 set of lights.
Because the boat sales are limited, please only 1 boat per family, business, or organization.
Decoration: Each entry may be decorated with any holiday or winter theme.
Be creative and have fun! Don’t forget to make sure that all decorations are secured to protect our stream. The organization reserves the right to not launch any boat that it feels jeopardizes the creek’s cleanliness.
